Habadekuk conquered western Canada!

By Danish Roots |

The Danish folk big band, Habadekuk, just ended a fantastic tour across western Canada, visiting venues and festivals like Winnipeg Folk Festival, Vancouver Folk Music Festival, Calgary Folk Festival and Canmore Folk Festival. Inspired by Canada’s own Bottine Souriante, Habadekuk plays a fusion of traditional Danish folk music, jazz and pop, and the band has won the hearts of thousands of music lovers on their way through the country.

Soon the band will be on their way back to Denmark where they have a few gigs coming up, not to mention the recording of their second album. Fiddle player Kristian Bugge says:

“We have enjoyed some fantastic festival concerts, people in the audience has been really open minded and ready to party, the band has been doing very well, and the vibe is good!”
