Habadekuk is kick-starting the new year in Finland and Scotland!

By Danish Roots |

The musicians in the Danish folk big band, Habadekuk, are all pretty busy these days. They just returned back after a week in a Danish studio where they have been working on their new album, that will hopefully be released in April 2014. Tonight on Saturday the 30th of November,  many of them will participate in the Danish Music Award Folk (Danish “Grammy”) show, hoping to get one or two of the awards that they have been nominated for, which is “Traditional Act of the Year” and “Danish Folk Artist of the Year”.

In January 2014 Habadekuk will be kick starting the new year by playing concerts at the Finnish Folklandia Festival which is being held on a huge ferry between Helsinki and Stockholm (9th – 12th of January 2014), and at the huge Scottish Celtic Connection Festival in Glasgow (17th of January 2014). The band is booking for 2014 and 2015 right now!
