By Danish Roots |

Fiolministeriet (The Fiddle Ministry) is three young Danish women playing mainly music from the 1800 century. Most of the music they find in old music collections. One of those is an old music collection from 1768 by Rasmus Storm, who lived in Faaborg on the Danish island Funen (Fyn). The book is full of Danish and European super hits of the time, all tunes that are hard to forget when you have ones listened to them. The trio is Ditte Fromseier Hockings (violin, viola, vocals), Kirstine Sand Haugaard Rasmussen violin) and Kirstine Pedersen (cello). Fiolministeriet has been touring Germany several times earning them self quite a name, and they are binging their latest album on the tour, just in case someone should fall in love with this great music.
